Auburn

Situated on the west side of the Androscoggin River, more than 40% of Auburn’s land is agricultural. Auburn offers the best of both worlds, with a walkable downtown district close to hotels, breweries, and restaurants. Auburn has an active neighborhood association in the New Auburn Neighborhood, responsible for coordinating neighborhood events and business advocacy. Auburn has invested in a new elementary school and will open a new high school in fall 2021, reflecting the community’s commitment to education. Auburn is an age-friendly community, with a new senior community center and dynamic programming for older residents.
